The other side of the bridge

The other side of the bridge

It’s now been a month since work was carried out on the North Farm Road railway bridge. The most obvious change is bands of yellow and black markings to remind drivers in tall vehicles that they are too tall. However lots of plants have been cut down at the sides, and the repointed bricks have been clearly marked. It feels like there is more to follow.

I actually went on a very interesting walk, as a public footpath runs along the other side, by the railway, to Barnett’s Wood, and then out onto Dowding Way. and another footpath runs from here to the Gas Holders and into Grosvenor and Hilbert Park. Most of these paths have been made into cycle tracks as well, so in theory you can cycle from the town to the industrial estate. This is also where the new pieces of art will be.
