Coffee at Dame Tartine

mixed 002Tunbridge Wells Writers (see previous blog) are looking at expanding their website, which meant looking for a venue with free wifi, coffee and bar, open on Tuesday evening, for a brainstorming evening. This lead me to meeting fellow TWWriter and blogger Lady Katherine for a long, leisurely Saturday coffee and pastry in Dame Tartine. We had a lovely chat with owner Chris, about the history of the restaurant…. and his life story!! I was the English local sat between the French-man and the American-Lady. While there we also examined the various foodie goodies to buy and take-away, such as beans cooked in goose fat, and the bottles of limonades. We’ll be back on Tuesday evening, with others, for the brainstorming – for now take a look at Kate’s blog, pop into Dame Tartine yourselves, and watch out for news on the TWWriters!
