Spring sunshine

ImageYesterday was a lovely sunny day in Tunbridge Wells, and the same is forecast for today… with rain following… Oh well – was that summer??!!

The start of March, or the fine weather, brought a deluge of events information onto twitter last night. Things start this weekend with Mothers Day, there is the annual lambing weekend at Hadlow College, the first Big Weekender at The Bedford pub, and lots of other music and lunch specials around the town.

There is news of the second Hartfield Storyfest in May, and a Tunbridge Wells Children’s Story Festival later in the year, Speldhurst Pram Race, Compaid’s Got Talent, Electric Lantern Festival… there are even rumblings in the paper of another one day Tunbridge Wells Festival, as well as all the other music events.

Looks like lots to keep the good people of Tunbridge Wells entertained, and hopefully some people from out of the town will brave our traffic jam roads and pay and display car parks, and come and visit us!

  1. We really need some better weather – even the cat’s got SADs this year! I’m sure we did get a few sunny days last year, but nowhere near enough to break up what has seemed two very long, cold and damp winters. It will be lovely to see lambs in the fields again too. I like to feed them bunches of mint and wild garlic- the irony is almost as delicious as the pre-seasoned flesh!
