Pavements well gritted and a bit of sun, and today there was hardly any sign of the blizzard. On a walk down to Tourist Information on the Pantiles, I popped into Javabean cafe (hiding behind the dentist’s signs) on the High Street, and spotted crocuses in Calverley grounds, with Hotel du Vin in the background.
However, did get snowed on while in the Pantiles, seeming to come out of a blue sky!
Next Tuesday evening I’ve arranged with Javabean cafe a late night opening event, with readings of poetry or short stories, from Tunbridge Wells Writers group, and others. It’s open to anyone to pop in for a glass of wine, a beer, or coffee and tea, a bite to eat, and (HOPEFULLY) be entertained.
