I think this postcard may have been used last year, when the start of this project was proposed… anyway, in lieu of the park bandstand, I have now confirmed three dates this summer with Acoustic Valium Project for ‘Busking in a Gazebo’ in the park. Hopefully the weather is going to be good to us (currently we seem to have sunk back into winter, or is it skipping forward to autumn?) and people can bring along a picnic for a couple of hours live, acoustic, unplugged music.
I confirmed the dates last night, while at the Acoustic Valium Project ‘Open Mic’ night at The Bedford Pub. This was a good evening, giving new acts the chance to perform three songs in front of the (usually noisy) audience in the pub. Like a box of Quality Street and a blindfold, there was no knowing what was coming next!
Lots on around Tunbridge Wells this summer – this weekend there will be a Music and Beer Festival (The Royal Oak), Food Festival (The Pantiles), Story Festival (village of Hartfield), Fun Day (Foresters Football club), Fringe Festival (Mayfield) and assorted plant sales, walks… and also Thomas the Tank Engine at the Spa Valley Railway!
