Random photos on a High Brooms walk

There seems to be a lot of activity around High Brooms and the Sandhurst Road area. Starting with the gas holders being noisily demolished, there are these markings all over the nearby road. Not sure if this is part of the updated electricity cable being laid from High Brooms Industrial Estate to the sub-station by G&H Park. As far as I can gather, no digging this weekend though. Short cutting through High Brooms station underpass, and all this foliage has been cleared away, revealing the back of the west-side station waiting room – some nice brickwork, and no doubt when it was built this side was also ‘on show’. In High Brooms Road the tall houses opposite the working men’s club are all scaffolded, and work is cracking on in refurbishing the High Brooms Tavern, which should be open within the next month.

It’s good all the things you spot on a walk, that you miss in a car.
