Just about noon on Sunday and the sun started shining. You could hear event organisers around the town breath a sigh of relief.
By 1.30 ‘Music on the Tiles’ was in full flow, with people sitting at the restaurant tables eating lunch and chatting.
The Forum and pubs based event ‘heaTWave’ was singing away in both the Forum and the Duke of York, with events also on in The Sussex Arms.
We spent the afternoon at the ‘Local and Live’ acoustic stage in the garden of Sankey’s on Mount Ephraim. Saw four acts while we there, all local – one was a friend and one was the father of our daughter’s friend. Bumped into some other friends, had a drink and a chat, a pleasant afternoon in the sun!
It seems everyone was quite happy where they were! On our walk round town we also called into the Camden Road Art Pull gallery to see Mike and his ‘Disgusted’ display, brilliant that he is open from 12 – 8pm, including Bank Holiday Monday, and the exhibition is on until Satiurday 31st August. We also went to 10@9 on the Pantiles after spotting the pink hair of Kitty Forest through the window. Having followed Kitty on twitter for about two years, and buying one of her mini prints on my previous gallery visit, it was nice to meet her.
I daren’t check the weather forecast for Day Three….
