Tea and Jam

Another Oxjam event yesterday, a pop up Tea Room in the vacant shop in Royal Victoria Place. This unit has hosted SoCreate and Bring the Happy, now took it’s turn as a Tea Room with live music, book stall, and a lollipop draw! I caught the very end when Lewis Osmant joined Jay Burgess to sing “Cecilia”, and the afternoon finished with a real “jam” as the musicians sat in the corner playing while the tidying up started.

All tables, chairs and linen had been provided by Mrs Tea, along with the range of drinks and home baked cakes, served on vintage china.

Next Sunday Oxjam hit the streets of Tunbridge Wells with a buskathon, watch out for musicians on the bandstand, along the High Street, and around the Millennium clock, between 11am and 3pm.
