January sky lines

While the green leaves and blue skies of summer are lovely… interesting shapes and lighting on a January walk, with clouds, trees and the dismantling of the High Brooms gas holders. Funny to look inside the gas holder too (middle picture)!

Friends of Grosvenor and Hilbert Park held a small meeting on Wednesday evening to chat about the Heritage Lottery grant plans, which will include tidying up the wetlands area (top picture) as well as a major spruce up of the lake and grottoes/dripping wells. We were pleased so many people came along, and we tried to answer the questions and queries that came up. We (FoGH) are now working hard on some community events, to keep trying to get everyone involved – from planting seeds to Easter Egg rolling to an amazing 125th Anniversary Party.

Looking forward to Spring as we reach the end of the first month of the year (already)…
